Nepali School MoMo Competition - Today (December 11) CNCA Nepali School is organizing MoMo competition in which, students will cook momo and write about the recipe and cooking procedure of one of the most popular Nepali dish. Details here.

Losar and English New Year 2012 Celebration - CNCA is organizing "Unity in Diversity" event on English New Year, January 1, 2012. Details here.

Nepali students had also participated in Harry Potter in Heritage Language Schools research program. If you want, you can also listen 1 minute long reading of part of Harry Potter book translated in 70 different languges including Nepali by visiting this page.

Calgary Update - Essay contest deadline extension, regional sports...

Some of the latest happenings in Calgary

1. The essay contest deadline has extended to August 4 (please refer this post).

2. Regional Nepalese Sports is being organized and hosted by Calgary, on August 6 and 7 2011. Further details on the event will be posted in http://uofcnepali.com (when it is made available by the organizers).

3. CNCA is organizing Satya Narayan Puja on the day before Krishna Astami, on August 20, 2011, Saturday.

4. Congratulation to Abhinay Pradhan and Ruby Pradhan for their marriage. We wish Abhinay and ruby a happy married life.

5.  CNCA organized a Summer Camp in Sandy McNabb Campground from July 15, 2011 to July 17, 2011.

6. CNCA and NCSC organized a historical joint picnic on July 10, 2011 in Bowness Park, NW.

Youth Internship Program, Ambassador, Picnic, Nepali school year end

Hi,

There are a lot of things happenings in Calgary Nepali community in June.

1. NRN-Canada is organizing a $1,500 Youth Internship Program - for Nepali youths in Cananda - Details is available here.

2. Ambassador Dr. Bhoj Raj Ghimire is visiting Calgary this Friday, June 17. Details of the program is posted here.

3. NCSC and CNCA joint picnic is going to be held on June 25, Saturday at Bowness Park. Please inform CNCA or NCSC coordinators what you plan to bring in the potluck picnic.

4. Congaratulation to Mr. Rishi Bastakoti for securing the first place in Poem Competition in a Republican Day (Ganatantra Diwas) Program organized by Nepalese Embassy, Ottawa. Visit this page to read the award winning poem.
