NCSC announced nine sub-committees and is looking for volunteer members
In a press release, released by Bharat Regmi, Vice- President, NCSC on 2011/08/22, CNCA has announced nine different sub-committees designated to work on various aspects of the organization, according to their Terms of Responsibility (TOR). NCSC has targeted to have seven volunteer members in each of the subcommittee. Any interested person interested in participating in the subcommittees can contract respective coordinators to get involved in NCSC’s activities.
Nepalese Community Society of Calgary (NCSC) has told that the Sub-committees will reinforce NCSC objective by maximizing the volunteers’ involvement in the community activities.
The sub-committe (and their coordinators) are:
- Literary Sub-committee (Mr. Rajendra Prasai)
- Fund Raising Sub-committee (Mr. Naveen Subba)
- Women and Children Sub-committee (Ms. Shilu Ghimire)
- Membership Drive and Newcomer Support Sub-committee (Mr. Durga Limbu)
- Sports and Youth Sub-committee (Dr. Betman Singh Bhandari)
- Cultural Promotion Sub-committee (Ms. Bibhu Ojha)
- Logistic Support Sub-committee (Mr. Purna Thapa)
- Liaison and Outreach Sub-committee (Mr. Bharat Regmi)
- Information Management Sub-committee (Mr. Krishna Bhatta)
All of the nine coordinators are looking for volunteers to be the members of the sub-committee.
Member of the Membership Drive and Newcomer Support Sub-committee has already found one member - Mr. Sushil Gajurel and is looking for 6 more members. Logistic Support Sub-committee already has two members - Mr. Ananta Acharya and Mr. Hikmat Roka and Mr. Tara Kattel has also already become a Member of Information Management Sub-committee.
