Western Canada Regional Sports to be held in Calgary on August 6 and 7, 2011

Western Canada SportsThanks to the Nepali community in Edmonton (NeCaSE), the Nepalese Communities of Western Canada met on August 15, 2010 in Edmonton to play friendly matches with each other. At that time, Calgary had promised to organize the event in 2011. Now, it is time for the event!

The Western Canada Regional Sports (WCRN) is going to be held in Calgary on August 6 and 7, 2011. Both the Nepali communities, CNCA and NCSC, are jointly organizing the sports events in Calgary.

The players from six different cities in Western Canada will compete in four different sports, namely:

1. Soccer
2. Volleyball
3. Dandi Biyo
4. Badminton (Single and Double)
 
The time schedule:
 
06 Aug, 2011 (8:00 AM 12:00 noon)
Volleyball & Badminton at University of Calgary, Olympic Oval
 
06 Aug, 2011 (12:30pm to 8:30pm)
Soccer at Silver Springs Elementary School, Field
 
07 Aug, 2011 (9:00am to 1:00pm)
Soccer & Dandi Biyo at  Silver Springs Elementary School, Field
 
07 Aug, 2011 (1:00pm to 5:00pm)
Closing Program & Lunch at Silver Springs Elementary Community Hall
